Based upon Benjamin Franklin's unique idea of a simple clock with only three internal wheels, a single weight & pendulum, and that would have a four hour dial instead of twelve! Never produced during Ben's lifetime, Thwaites & Reed, Clockmakers to England's Royalty since 1740 produced this limited edition run of 1000 clocks in the 1970's. Each clock is individually number (this one is #743/1000). Heavy gauge brass. Quality throughout. All original documentation accompanies the clock.
