Antique German/English "Postman's Clock" 19th century


These old German made, English distributed clocks are rarely seen in North America. The clock is called a "Postman's Clock". It is a very simple & straightforward mechanical movement with wood plates (not brass). The clock needs to be wound daily. A daily alarm can be set from the centre of the dial. Simply hang the secondary weight to use the alarm; remove if the alarm is not needed. Glass dial with Roman numerals. Eleven inch dial. The clocks dates to the later period of 1890-1920.
